AEBN Announces Winners of 2010 VOD Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Video-on-demand giant AEBN has announced the winners of its fifth annual VOD Awards.

Since 2006, AEBN has recognized the most popular films and stars of the year, as chosen by the viewing habits of the fans that visit the company's global network of theaters through its VOD Awards. Winners are based on minute sales in the theaters in one calendar year, decided upon with a precise, in-house accounting system.

Nominees were announced in November, and the winners will receive their awards via mail.

"We love starting off 2010 with a bang by announcing the VOD Awards winners," AEBN's Suzann Knudsen said. "It generates a lot of excitement and hopefully inspires the industry as they start up another year of production."

The awards cover a wide range of genres, and special honors are also given for Lifetime Achievement and Studio of the Year.

Sharon Mitchell, co-founder and director of the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award for her decades-long commitment to the health needs of industry performers.

The Studio of the Year nod went to Sweetheart Video for its unique aesthetic in creating innovative girl/girl erotica for the discerning viewer, AEBN said in an announcement.

Bree Olson won for Performer of the Year, and Tanner Mayes was named Best Newcomer.

VOD Award-winning adult titles include:

Overall: “White Mommas” (Elegant Angel Productions)

Gonzo: “Breakin' 'Em In 12” (Vouyer Media)
Feature: “My Daughter's Boyfriend” (Sweet Sinner Video)

Transsexual: Joey Silvera's Rogue Adventures 33 (Joey Silvera)
